Anglo-Italian's flagship piece of Winter outerwear, the Martingala Coat has become something our customers build an entire seasonal wardrobe around. Worn over dark suits, textured sports jackets, knitwear or denim, it's an ideal daily companion till Spring.

This year we've approached the fabric differently, producing a double cloth town coating, where two weaves applied one above the other give a full bodied drape and a supple, mellow, handle. A 25-micron woollen yarn was spun in Delph, Yorkshire before being woven in Huddersfield into a rugged yet elegant 26oz fabric with a semi-milled finish. Mélange yarns give this charcoal tone a depth and variation grey coatings often lack.

The patch flap pockets, turn-back cuffs, heavy lapped seams, half belt and action back balance formality with practicality, while the broad shoulder, nipped waist and correct length make for a truly classic coat. Made in Tuscany with a full canvas and handmade collar, buttonholes, linings and armholes.
